    • AMU E-learning Platform

AMU logoAMU E-learning Platform (also referred to as AMU Moodle) is a learning management system administered by the AMU Distance Learning Support Centre (OWKO). Individual Moodle sites are assigned to AMU Schools comprising particular faculties ("wydziały") and other organisational units. On the home page of the E-learning Platform, there is information about which Moodle site corresponds to your School and faculty, and on which Moodle other supplementary courses are held (health and safety course, library training, foreign language classes, etc.).

Teachers who use Moodle to enrich their classes usually inform students about a Moodle course page being available by sending them an e-mail, e.g. from USOSWeb, or a message via MS Teams. Some Moodle courses can only be completed remotely (health and safety course, library training) and information about them is provided in announcements published on USOSWeb.

First-year students use the following Moodle platforms most frequently:

      • the AMU School platform pertinent for their faculty,
      • the Other Units platform, which comprises courses run by the University Library,
      • the health and safety (BHP) platform (administered by Teaching and Admissions Centre - Centrum Wsparcia Kształcenia),
      • the AMU Language School platform.

It is easiest to switch between the various AMU Moodle sites from the top "E-learning UAM" drop-down menu:

    • Logging into Moodle

Until your AMU student account (i.e. USOS account) has been created, you can browse the lists and summaries of the courses shown on the various AMU Moodle platforms.

Full access is usually granted after you have been registered in USOS for your first course taught via Moodle. Sometimes teachers can grant anonymous guest access to their Moodle courses using an additional password.

You must log in to participate actively on the Moodle platform. To log in, you must be registered in USOS for at least one Moodle course.

      CAS login page

To log in to most AMU Moodle platforms, enter your AMU student username (i.e. the first part of your AMU_username@st.amu.edu.pl e-mail) and USOS password in the CAS (Central Authentication System) authorization window, as when logging in to USOSWeb.

Further information and help on logging in is available on the "How to log in?" page, accessible by clicking on Help in the top menu of any AMU Moodle site, and on each login page.

To use the materials, you need to log in (with your AMU student account) and self-enrol in the course.

    • Important!

After you log in, your entire activity on the platform, including the URL address of each page visited and the time of access, is logged. This data is available to the Moodle administrators. After entering a given course, all your actions that require a click are logged (e.g. opening a resource with a file, submitting an assignment, answering a quiz question, etc.). These actions can be tracked by the course teacher and used by them to assess student activity, monitor students’ interest in the course, etc.
