Topic outline

    • Where to seek help?

If you have questions about Moodle, please ask them on the forum so that we can improve our materials.

    • How to contact your teacher

When studying remotely, contact with the teacher takes place via university e-mail and during real time on-line consultations (MS Teams chats or meetings) during teachers' duty hours. If arranged with the teacher, you can also send them individual messages internally in Moodle, selecting the teacher's name from the list of course participants or through your user menu in the top right-hand corner of the Moodle screen.

The teacher can also send information to students from the Announcements forum on the Moodle course page. Students CANNOT reply to the teacher's posts in Announcements. Forums where students may contribute to discussions may be added by the teacher as new activities in the course.

    • Technical requirements

Moodle is compatible with any new web browser, i.e. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera, Safari (with Javascript enabled). You may need to enable pop-up windows to use some resources. Note: WebRTC audio and video recording directly from the web interface may not work in Safari on MacOS. To use the recording function, we recommend using Firefox, Chrome, or Edge.

    • Moodle vs MS Teams and MS (Office) 365

Currently AMU Moodle and MS Teams / Office 365 systems work independently of each other. Teachers who want to use both environments should make sure that the group of students enrolled in their Moodle course is the same as the USOS group and the MS Teams group. This will enable smooth transition (on desktops or mobile applications) between both tools, safe sharing of links and embedded content, collaboration on documents, etc.
