The course aims to introduce several types of expository paragraphs and develop the ability of recognising, constructing and writing such paragraphs. The knowledge gained in the course will improve students' ability to construct and write selected types of expository paragraphs in a coherent, logical, exhaustive and linguistically correct manner, as well as to use appropriate rhetorical devices. The assessment criteria include attendance, participation in discussions, and performance in written assignments.
