The aim of this course is to develop a consistent, fully intelligible pronunciation of General American English, with a focus on the most prominent vowels and consonants. Your goal is to develop an accent which will be “transparent” to a broad range of listeners, i.e. it should not attract attention on account of L1 features. We will also introduce some important themes of contemporary American society and culture.
