This course is not a straightforward continuation of Linguistic Theory: Phonetics and Phonology 1. (I try not to repeat too much of what you know from that course and not to move away from issues on which you already have some background too quickly.) The general idea is to give you a comprehensive overview of how phonology, including but not focusing solely on English and including but not focusing too much on phonetics, is viewed from a scientific point of view.
There is no pre-class reading for the first class of the course; students receive the Moodle enrollment key during the first class; no guest access is available
