Pedagogical Approaches in a Foreign Language Education
Alternative pedagogical approaches may include different structures, and/or differing curricula and teaching methods. We are going to study some huge alternative pedagogies (such as Waldorf, Montessori, Freinet, Reggio Emilia and Dalton Plan) and see what they offer in the context of foreign language learning and how they could be beneficial and applicable to foreign language teaching so that it better responds to 21st-century needs.
The proseminar brings also closer to major teaching approaches: constructivist, collaborative, integrative, reflective and inquiry-based learning.
