Introduction to conference interpreting public speaking 1 MA/TK (2021/SZ ) (Surma-Filipowska)

This course aims at developing students’ public speaking skills, which are crucial in conference interpreting. We are going to discuss stress and stress coping, the importance of non-verbal language in interpreting and the role of interpreters’ vocal skills. This will be followed by interpreting practice where we will focus mainly on delivery and public speaking skills.
