Course Objectives:
➢ To develop understanding of the relationship between language and the processes of the brain
and mind.
➢ To examine methods used in psycholinguistic research and to interpret the types of results these
methods have uncovered;
➢ Design, conduct and report on an experimental study in M.A. thesis
Student Learning Objectives:
At the end of course, students should be able to:
➢ List major processes involved in language processing and storage in bilingualism and
mutilingualsim;
➢ Describe the methods used to experimentally test hypotheses in psycholinguistics;
➢ Describe theoretical models of lexical organization and processing both in monolingual and
multilingual contexts
➢ Test this hypothesis experimentally and report on the experiment in your M.A. thesis (year 2).
