Title of the proseminar: Intercultural competence in L2 learning and teaching
In this course, students will explore the concepts of culture and
intercultural competence (IC) with special regard to their position in
foreign language (L2) learning and teaching. Apart from examining IC
definitions and models, students will get familiar with (and participate
in!) various didactic activities designed to develop learners’
intercultural knowledge, skills and attitudes. The course will therefore
have a primarily practical orientation
